Loaded BBQ nachos

A new dimension of an evening snack for a movie night or home gathering - loaded nachos! Crispy tortilla chips, aromatic BBQ Jackfruit, and gooey cheese... Are you vegan? Use plant-based cheddar cheese and indulge as much as you want :)

Ingredients

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • Jack Barbeque: 150g
  • Corn nachos: 100g
  • Cheese sauce or grated cheddar cheese: 60g
  • Lime: 1/4 piece
  • Cilantro: a few leaves
  • Tomato salsa: 2 tablespoons

You can make the cheese sauce by heating the ingredients below:

  • 125g Cheddar cheese
  • 60ml milk
  • 25ml heavy cream (30% fat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • A pinch of nutmeg

How to prepare

  1. Transfer the nachos onto a tray or into an oven-safe dish. Place the BBQ Jackfruit on top and bake at 170°C (340°F) for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the grated cheese on top and bake for another 3-5 minutes until the cheese melts.
  3. Transfer to a plate, decorate, or enjoy straight from the dish. :) Serve with tomato salsa.

    If you don't have access to an oven or an oven-safe dish:
  4. Spread the nachos on a plate. Heat the Jackfruit in a skillet.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the cheese sauce by placing all the ingredients in a small saucepan.
  6. Heat until the cheese melts, and mix well. Cover the nachos with the heated Jackfruit, decorate, and serve with the cheese sauce and tomato salsa.
