Native to South Asia, the jackfruit is a colossal fruit with a rich cultural heritage. Revered for its immense size, it holds the title of the world's largest tree-borne fruit. This tropical gem has played a vital role in Asian cuisines for centuries, with its fibrous flesh often used as a plant-based substitute for meat due to its meaty texture and ability to absorb flavors.
But for us, this green beast is the fruit of the future. We know what we're talking about! Wise minds have started calling it the successor to potatoes, grains, and corn, because it's easy to grow, incredibly productive, and packed with nutrients like few others!

Gerald's first encounter with jackfruit while traveling in Indonesia sparked the thought, "It's a shame it hasn't made its way to Europe!"
2019
Gerald's encounter with serious health issues, heart surgery, and cancer led to changes in dietary habits, reducing meat consumption, and the futile search for food in the market that would be both delicious and healthy. Thus, the concept of Food Jack was born!

Food Jack participated in the Foodtech.ac acceleration program during its early stages, marking the official launch of the company!
